The Terrain of Freedom

We all have experiences or periods of time where we are open, graceful, generative, creative, fluid, where our yes to God and others is fulsome and natural, where we are aligned with God’s grace. This is the terrain of freedom.

Each of us has however, also had concrete experiences, circumstances, or periods of time when we are bound up, or enslaved, when we do the very things we do not want to do; when we are reactive, chaotic, and everything feels at odds: this is the opposite of the terrain of freedom.

In this retreat, retreatants will have the opportunity to explore the space of the terrain of freedom within them and become more aware of what impinges on that space and what knocks them out of their terrain of freedom.
