Amidst adversities, life can feel very disorienting. What is God up to in these seasons of our lives? Getting stuck on the why can paralyze us from following him into deeper relationship. Even in the painful times, and especially in the painful times, he is seeking to usher us deeper into his love.

About the event
In this session, we will cover and integrate three broad areas. First, we will reflect upon a biblical foundation of God’s loving presence and redemptive activity in our suffering. Second, we will consider some core Ignatian spiritual concepts that invite an openness to what God is up to in these times. Finally, we will discuss how these combined elements inform our companioning others in their suffering - whether a friend, a caregiver, and/or a spiritual director.
Cost: $25
Scott Shaum lives in CO with his wife, Beth. They have served with Barnabas International for over 20 years pastoring missionaries globally. Scott is an Anglican priest, a spiritual director, a public speaker and author, and on the leadership team of BI.
NOTE: This session will be recorded. If you register and are unable to attend, you will receive the recording so you can participate offline.
