One of my favorite images for spiritual direction is sitting together at a kitchen table: you & I and Jesus. Right in the heart and center of the home, a kitchen table - perhaps full of crumbs, cutting boards and newspapers - is often busy. Even messy. A beautiful reflection of life lived - unfiltered and raw. When you pause and sit down here, you don’t first dress up before you take a seat. You come just as you are.

And isn’t this precisely where God enjoys sitting with us? In the heart and center of our home, where - because we’re held in His extravagant, unconditional love - we have the courage to be real; sinners, who are welcomed as beloved saints with open arms, cherished by God no matter what.

I grew up in the Catholic tradition, however it wasn’t until I was in my early 20's (and going through a depression), while at a volleyball camp in Wuppertal, Germany, a few years after having walked away from church & organized religion, that I had a surprise encounter with the risen Christ: Jesus invited me to come & sit at His table that day, and Revelation 3:20 suddenly became incredibly real.
I have been journeying with Jesus through the joys and challenges of life ever since…

For the past 20 years now, my spiritual community has been the River Church (a small “simple church” community that’s part of the Christian & Missionary Alliance) in Squamish, BC, where my focus and passion are for spiritual direction and inner healing prayer ministry.

As a spiritual director, I thoroughly enjoy creating sacred kitchen-table-space that is warm and open, welcoming you exactly as you are. I love listening to - and with - people from all streams of faith and have a special heart for those who feel unseen and unheard. In all that I love to partner with Jesus, who so exquisitely sees, hears, pursues, and loves each ‘one’. Everybody has a story to tell - and a story to unfold.

Training

My certification as a spiritual director I received through SoulFormation’s Academy of Spiritual Formation & School of Spiritual Direction.

I completed my training to facilitate the Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius of Loyola (19th Annotation / Retreat in Daily Life) in August 2022.

I also have a graduate degree in Clinical Psychology from the university of Würzburg, Germany.
